The Darien Times wrote a special piece last week on Black Rock Life's SWIM Across the Sound team member Elizabeth Wenzel. The piece tells of a car crash Wenzel was in in 2009 that required her to have spinal surgery and then focuses on her road to recovery, especially how swimming has helped her through the process.

The 25th Annual St. Vincent's SWIM Across The Sound is THIS SATURDAY, July 28th.
The first round of swimmers will depart Port Jefferson at approximately 8:45 AM and begin the 15.5 mile swim which ends at Black Rock's very own Captain's Cove Seaport. The estimated arrival time for the lead swimmers is 3PM. The awards ceremony begins at approximately 7PM.
If you can't donate please still come down and show your support for these amazing athletes at Captain's Cove on Saturday afternoon/evening. The SWIM party at the Cove gets team Black Rock Life's stamp of approval so you know it will be a good time!
